The Power of Crystals – by Brookelin Gottlieb

from a very young age I was exposed to the healing powers of what a crystal could offer. how fascinating it was that by even just holding a crystal in my hand, I felt calmer, grounded and at peace. I mean, think about, crystals come from the earth, so to hold them, to work with them, connects us deeper to all of the elements that are in constant support of us as human, living, breathing beings. scientifically speaking, there is no evidence that crystal healing can be used to cure diseases, because diseases have never been found to be the result of a so-called energy flow in the body. I am here to speak of my experience of 17 years of co-existing with these magical materials, so please, if you feel called, explore and see for yourself!

first of all, let’s do a quick crystal breakdown.

what are crystals?

crystals are a special kind of solid material where the molecules fit together in a pattern that keeps repeating itself. because of these patterns crystals from all sorts of unique shapes.

how do crystals form?

the process of crystals forming is called crystallization. crystals mostly form in nature when liquids cool, like magma, and then start to harden slowly. certain atoms in the liquid cling to each other by electrical forces as they try and become stable. they do this in that pattern that repeats itself that we spoke about earlier to form the crystal. for more information on crystals, I recommend this awesome book called LOVE IS IN THE EARTH by MELODY.

now let’s go on a journey through the crystal path. there are many different types of crystals, gems, rocks and each one of them has different properties. first, lets visit options that are appropriate for your bedroom sanctuary. there are 2 prominent ones that aid with sleeping and create calm balanced energy in your bed and around your bed. SELENITE, AMETHYST and ROSE QUARTZ. personally, i sleep with Selenite every night because it is cooling, grounding and helps rid the body of toxic negative energy.  Selenite also provides clarity to the mind and expands one’s awareness of the self and of one’s surroundings. this mineral aligns the spinal column releases any energy blocks and stuck patterning. Selenite vibrates to the number 8 which is a super powerful number/shape. recommended places to place this meaningful structure: directly on your nightstand next your spot in bed and/or directly on your skin. my favorite place, lay a long piece of Selenite directly along your midline.

moving onto AMETHYST . . . she is such a beauty with her pale lavender shiny self. she is the “stone of spirituality and contentment.” Amethyst aids is moving lower energies into higher vibrational states. she transmutes energy into a powerful state of stabilization. Amethyst also bestows strength, invigoration, and peace. recommend places to place this meaningful structure: on your night stand, under your pillow, on your body – your forehead/third eye and/or your heart.

ROSE QUARTZ is super healing for the heart. it provides a space for negative walls to peel down and open up to something new. place it directly on your heart, under your pillow or on nightstand as well.

traveling out into the lit-up space which is your work area, your desk space, your perfectly organized responsibility area, right ha! let’s touch on the TOP 3 crystals that I recommend you start with in your work space to create an energizing and motivating flow. place any or all of these crystals on your desk or near your work space.
